Two arrested after meth bust in Montgomery County

A Riner man and woman were arrested Wednesday after police seized more than 722 grams of methamphetamine and six firearms from a residence.

Officers from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Christiansburg police and the Drug Enforcement Administration executed a search warrant about 3:15 p.m. in the 5000 block of Scaggs Ford Road , according to a news release.

William Bradley Burton, 32, and Felicia Ann Lovern, 20, were charged with the manufacture of meth over 227 grams, conspiracy to manufacture meth, possession of a firearm while manufacturing meth and possession of meth precursors. The sheriff’s office seized three rifles, one shotgun, one muzzle loader and one revolver, according to the release.

Burton and Lovern are being held without bond at Montgomery County Jail.
